Bah. Y'all love it really. Or, alternatively, I defy you to tell me you're familiar with most of those bands :P

There's a whole world of emo waiting to be discovered...

'Tis indeed a fair point. I think mostly what gets me about emo is that it just seems very limited, both musically and emotionally (or subject-matter-ly). But yeah, you're right, I haven't actually heard much :)

heh. evidently not much experience of emo. to be honest, a lot of emo musicians are excellent, and - dare i say it - it is probably a lot easier to be an indie guitarist, and definitely easier to be an indie drummer.

emotionally, no bands put the pain of break-ups etc quite as well as emo bands. this is the main reason emo gets taken the piss out of. and i see what you mean if you're saying because of this there's not much subject matter. but then when you're going through shitty times, a lot of it becomes very relevant.

but i actually think you'd probably like a fair amount of the emo i listen to... it's really not offensive to the ears. i would make you a cd but my cd-writer is broken >:( i might hassle benface to do a cd for me.
